Big Board Stocks - June 17
I realize I won't have time to do these before the open tomorrow, so here goes...
***CHARTS IN THE CHARTBOOK LINK BELOW***
PEIX - I swing traded this for a slight loss near end of day, but have some shares I decided to hold for the next few days. As you can see from the chart in the chartbook, there was a break and then a retrace to the downtrend line --> I can't believe I didn't see that intra-day. If this stock breaks that line, we're headed to test about 3.15 short term. As a sector, ethanol should get some more attention once the reality of oil sets in for the long term and we see the decreased supply of natural gas kick in too (the earthquake region in china will surely hurt supplies there.)
SOLARS - There was a gap up in many today and then a retrace or a star close. suggests a slight pullback, but it seems these are still in play for the next little while. I'll update intra-day if I notice any key resistances broken.
GSI - Symmetrical triangle forming after some congestion and consolidation around these areas. You never know where it goes (up or down) until it actually breaks out, but the chances are this is going up (as 75% of symmetricals do, and as the indicators would suggest). Watch a break with high volume some time this week possibly.
ESLR - sold out today early in the AM. I decided to leave the stock since it wasn't keeping pace with the other solars very well.
CSIQ - this stock, despite the price, moves quite easily and holds gains very well intra-day and in general on the daily charts. this may be one to look at if you're hoping to get in on some solar plays in the next little while.
