SOYO Group to move its HQ to Ontario

An Ontario company that sells computer, consumer electronics and home theater furniture products will move its corporate headquarters within the city.

SOYO Group Inc. will leave its 42,500-square-foot building at 1420 S. Vintage Ave. and relocate to a larger building at 1290 Elm St., about five miles away, SOYO Group spokesman Edward O'Brien said.

SOYO Group will occupy about half or 74,700 square feet of that building, which covers approximately 140,000 square feet.

It will use the space for warehouse-distribution and some office use, O'Brien said. Forty-three people will work there initially, and 10 to 12 employees are expected to be added during the next 18 months.

The move, scheduled to take place in September, is needed to accommodate SOYO Group's anticipated growth, O'Brien said.
